We are now looking for an experienced professional for the role of **Business Controller** for the Business Unit in Brazil. In this role you will be Finance Business Partner for Loader Cranes Heavy & Superheavy team and will provide critical and relevant financial information for decision-making; covering historical, current and future performance. You will drive improvements in reporting and measurement to support operational excellence and business results, provide support and direction to the global product support and R&D projects. You will also support Director, Finance & Business Control Loader Cranes Heavy & Superheavy on cost initiatives and strategic projects.
This position is based in Hiab's Brazil office, located in Santo Antônio da Patrulha, Rio Grande do Sul.

**Main tasks and responsibilities**:
- Provide and prepare management with financial information and business review and analysis and use this information to participate in planning, budgeting, decision making and controlling
- Work as a business partner and prepare financial plans and estimates of future business plans, budget and strategy. Challenge the business to improve the financial performance
- Perform fixed cost controlling activities and analyzing monthly cost center performance
- Improve and develop current ways of working, tools, methods and processes
- Drive consistency in operations measurement and performance
- Develop investment proposals to support growth and operational improvement
- Monitor and analyze monthly results against the budget. Prepare and present financial performance reports according to Cargotec’s and Hiab’s guidelines and controls.
- Monitor profitability, cost, working capital and cash flow development and ensure that all negative deviations are addressed with no delay
- Improve and develop current ways of working, tools, methods and processes
- Develop and track KPIs and plans to deliver short-term and long-term goals
- Support sales, project delivery and other functions in specific financial matter.
- Participate in finance projects at Hiab and Cargotec level
- Ensure that adequate controls are in place for the business and organization and that controls are implemented and followed in the organization.
- Inform, initiate and implement corrective actions together with relevant organizations to ensure continued effectiveness and efficiency of controls.
- Lead all the finance team divided in: Finance / Controlling / Costs and Taxes. Lead, coach and continuously develop the skills and capabilities of the Hiab Brazil finance team
**What you’ll need to succeed**:
- Relevant academic degree (e.g Controlling science and economics)
- Desired: Internationally recognised accounting qualifications
- 10+ years in high level business controlling role and/or other demanding financial roles
- Manufacturing companies in similar industries and in a global business environment
- Business control, financial reporting, finance processes and systems
- Management accounting and reporting, project accounting
- Strong capability in use finance tools - e.g. Qlikview, HFM & Google tools
- Good understanding of IFRS (esp revenue recognition), local GAAP and tax regulations
- Experience in international business and matrix organisation
- Executing for results, strong analytical capabilities with pragmatism and operational skills

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in a management role - people management
