Operational Risk Analyst Intern

We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-oriented intern to assist in auditing and validating existing fraud rules configured in the Accertify platform.

  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • A keen interest in fraud prevention, financial crimes, or enterprise automation is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in auditing and validating existing fraud rules configured in the Accertify platform.
  2. Supporting quality assurance reviews of RPAs related to fraud monitoring and decision-making.
  3. Collaborating with the Anomaly Detection team to analyze triggers and evaluate false positives/negatives.
  4. Designing and testing Splunk dashboards and data visualizations for fraud alerts and system monitoring.
  5. Documenting and reporting gaps or inefficiencies in current detection logic or process automations.
  6. Performing basic root cause analysis of anomalous behavior and supporting process remediation.
  7. Participating in fraud case reviews, helping to translate operational observations into structured findings.

Our ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline. Strong exposure to data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI, Splunk) is required.
