About the Job Company : Hitch Location : Remote (5+ hours overlap with San Francisco / PST required. South America preferred.) Position : Full-Time About Hitch Hitch is a fast-growing fintech building the digital rails for home equity lending. We power lenders like Deephaven and MyEQNow, helping them originate and scale HELOCs, Home Equity Investments, and other non-QM products. Backed by top VCs and featured in HousingWire, we’re transforming how borrowers access their home equity. The Role We’re looking for a Senior QA Automation & Manual Tester who takes deep ownership of product quality and system reliability. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and operations to ensure our platform meets the high bar required for regulated financial products. This is a hands-on role combining manual testing, test planning, and test automation, with real influence over how quality is built into our development lifecycle. You’ll join a small, elite remote team across Brazil, and the U.S., and play a critical role in shipping reliable, production-ready software to lenders, brokers, and borrowers. What You’ll Do Own end-to-end QA for core product areas, from requirements through release Design, execute, and maintain manual test cases for complex workflows (loan origination, underwriting, integrations, user roles) Build and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs Create test plans for new features, integrations, and major releases Partner closely with engineers to reproduce, diagnose, and validate bug fixes Validate data integrity across systems (POS ↔ LOS, third-party vendors, APIs) Ensure regression coverage across frequent releases Improve QA processes, documentation, and tooling over time Act as a quality advocate, helping the team catch issues before they reach customers What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in QA / software testing , with both manual and automation focus Strong experience testing modern web applications (React / Next.js preferred) Hands‑on experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Jest) Experience testing APIs (REST, webhooks, integrations) Comfortable writing clear test plans, test cases, and bug reports Strong attention to detail and a systems‑level mindset Experience working in fast‑moving, remote startup environments Strong communicator who collaborates well across product and engineering Bonus (Nice to Have) : Fintech, lending, or regulated‑industry experience Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines and automated test execution Experience validating data pipelines, calculations, or financial logic Exposure to MongoDB, cloud environments, or event‑driven systems Why Hitch Impact from Day 1 : Your work directly protects lenders, brokers, and borrowers High‑Growth Startup : Power some of the largest lenders in the non‑QM mortgage space Elite Team : Work with sharp, collaborative engineers across Brazil and the U.S. Ownership Culture : We care about outcomes and quality Remote‑First : Flexible work environment with real responsibility #J-18808-Ljbffr
