Job Description:

Position Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Provides a high level of support services to members related to the sales and service function including servicing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals and amendments, and selling travel, tours, airline tickets, and membership products.
  2. Routes members with complete travel itinerary, including triptiks, brochures, tour books, maps, travel and recreation information according to Company and National AAA approved procedures.
  3. Provides cashiering services to members including taking insurance payments, travel and membership payments, processing remittance transfers, and balancing cash drawer.
  4. Responds to customer inquiries and refers to agent when appropriate.
  5. Provides administrative support to Travel and Insurance Agents during peak periods.
  6. Conducts outbound promotional call activities per management request and promotes Auto Club Group products and services.
  7. Participates in a team environment to promote customer satisfaction and consistent service.
  8. Receives and resolves member/customer complaints and seeks assistance from management as necessary.
  9. Participates in office events developed to generate revenue and improve member awareness of products.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

  • Must attain the appropriate State Property & Casualty license within 90 days of hire.
  • Successful completion of Customer Service, Club and Travel, and Payment Processing training within 6 months of hire.
  • May be required to attain and maintain state membership licenses as appropriate by department.

Experience:

  • Providing a high level of customer-focused service.
  • Servicing insurance policies and processing applications, renewals, and amendments.
  • Taking payments and responding to billing and coverage questions.
  • Promoting the sale of insurance products and/or travel and membership products.
  • Processing monetary transactions and making outbound promotional calls.
  • Proficiency in computer software applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and web-based operations.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Insurance and travel terminology.
  • General insurance and/or travel regulations.
  • Underwriting procedures and sales regulatory compliance guidelines.
  • Familiarity with Travel Systems and/or Insurance Systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for monetary transactions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and exceed member expectations.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours including holidays and weekends.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume customer service environment.
  • Maintain appropriate State Property & Casualty license.
Preferred Qualifications:

Education:

  • Appropriate State Life Accident and Health License.
  • Travel accreditation (e.g., Disney College of Knowledge, Destination Specialties, or CTA Certification).

Experience:

  • Familiarity with touring procedures and development of auto travel routings.
  • Experience with Club and Travel promotions.
  • Promoting sales of ACG insurance using established guidelines.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of Auto Club Group Preferred Vendors requirements.
  • Knowledge of Auto Club Group service standards.
Work Environment:

Work in a temperature-controlled office environment.
