This is a full-time opportunity, reporting to the Head of Marketing, Communications and Solutions. You will be responsible for providing event planning and management for a portfolio of regional programmes as well as standalone activities, including digital and in-person tradeshows, events, business matchmaking and webinar series and trade missions including scoping the deliverables, project plan, budget, procurement, milestone tracking and stakeholders, by working with the lead on each project. Managing delivery of assigned activities which may include event logistics, supplier management, contract management, budget monitoring and management, travel arrangements, invitations, and registrations. You will be also required to develop through comms plans for the Programmes we run, with public relations, digital and social media aspects, revising monthly comms KPIs and adjusting the plans accordingly.
The key responsibilities for this role include engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to project manage and execute activities to a world-class standard, as well as well as driving public relations and marketing initiatives related to them. You will propose, plan, coordinate and manage standalone events and multi-market programmes and activities. Adept at planning timelines, budgets and resources meticulously, you'll make each event a success. It's also expected you create and deliver high-quality event related communications that support the regional objectives and NZTE's strategy.
- Project Management: Manage and deliver on objectives in all stages of event planning, design, and production within agreed timelines. Responsible for acquiring all necessary marketing and communications related suppliers, resources for event and mission activity and managing to meet objectives.
- Event Management: Marketing: Work with the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager on marketing and communication activities in the region in support of the NZTE global marketing strategy, key business and sector initiatives and implementation of NZTE's category management strategy.
- Content creation: Manage and deliver quality content (copy, video and webinars) working with a range of diverse stakeholders.
- Communications: Support the Regional Marketing and Communications Manager with public relations, media, social media, pitch decks and general communications.
- Health and safety: Ensure compliance with all insurance, legal, health and safety obligations according to NZTE's 'Fine Print'.
- Co-ordination: Co-ordinate work efforts of cross functional teams. Development of the brief objectives with relevant project owner and bringing in resource where required.
- Measurement: Work to gather and share marketing communications related results and ROI.
- Relate well to all kinds of people - up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organisation; build appropriate rapport; build constructive and effective relationships; use diplomacy and tact; champion efficiency, simplicity, and collaboration across NZTE.

**What you'll need to be successful | Ō Pūkenga**
Ideally you will have 6+ years in event management, working across multiple cultures and 6+years in corporate communications. You will also have knowledge and experience about digital marketing to drive future decisions and optimize lead acquisition and activation strategy for the events. You will have an excellent eye for detail and a calm and supportive manner. An ability to manage multiple priorities and strong communication is key, you will need excellent written and verbal skills to ensure clarity on strategy, tactics, goals, and performance for digital campaigns and be comfortable negotiating with suppliers and vendors.
