Descrição da vagaDevelop and validate the design of systems. Define root causes and validate solutions for issues happening in the field, plant, supplier.
- Develop and execute the System level DVP for new programs and internal component change projects, such as technical cost reductions, supplier resources and warranty, long-term reliability & shift quality improvements.
- Manage DVP documentation.
- Execute bench testing.
- Execute in-vehicle performance & functional testing.
- Triage transmission related issues occurring in various fleets, including development vehicles, durability/reliability vehicles and fast feedback to improve customer satisfaction and meet various quality metrics.
- First responder to apparent trans hardware related concerns.
- Systematically diagnose the root cause and support development of corrective actions.
- Lead RCA of many GIMs, support corrective action development, identification & validation.
- Identify various system level transmission performance targets.
- Support debug effort of new program vehicle phases.
- Support Vehicle Assembly plant.
- Generate draft test plans to establish cost and timing for bulletin response roll-ups.
- Release oil fill process specifications for Transmission and Vehicle Plant procedures.
- Maintain Technical Infrastructure documentation, including DVP and Test Procedures.
- Review / Edit Owners Manual, Service Manual & Diagnostics Manual documentation.
Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry or product engineering design, validation and engineering projects development with OEM and/or tier 1/2 supplier.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in transmission, driveline & axles or related area.
- Thorough understanding of vehicle functions and general vehicle architecture.
- Understanding of typical automotive manufacturing and quality processes.
- Leadership, organization, planning, decision making and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and uncertainty through effective communication and experience.
- Proactive, learning, self-driven, teamwork oriented.
- Efficient work under pressure and high communication skills.
- Training in problem solving techniques.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Must be able to lead and manage Suppliers.
- Some travel required to Supplier and Corporate Engine / Transmission / Vehicle Assembly Plants.
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R).
Education
- Mechanical Engineering degree or similar.
- Master’s degree highly desired.
Language
- Advanced English language skills (Speak, Read and Write).
