What you’ll do:

Job Summary: Engineering Program Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating the technical, financial, and operational aspects of engineering projects. Some of their roles and responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  2. Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, manufacturing, and marketing, to ensure project success.
  3. Identifying and mitigating project risks, and resolving issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
  4. Communicating project status, progress, and deliverables to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
  5. Ensuring that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  6. Process and Continuous improvement driven activities along New product introduction (NPI).
  7. Key customer VOC validation to support NPI programs.
  8. Electrical Switchgear technical leadership along new development and innovation.
  9. Responsible for development and application of advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and customized approaches for a unique customer.
  10. Must manage office staff and engineering staff on projects of medium to high complexity, and serve as a technical specialist, providing knowledge and expertise.
  11. Management and Supervision of Engineering NPI role for medium to large size designs of Medium Voltage equipment of Switchgear (Reclosers), Capacitor Banks, Cabinet Controls, and Power Distribution products (PDO).
Job Responsibilities
  1. NPI activities management - linked to local production.
  2. Leadership on localization projects.
  3. Pro-Launch functional and processes responsibility along the Electrical sector Brazil.
  4. Support to new Suppliers development and current suppliers quality/performance improvement; this may include visits, development plans, specs, etc.
  5. Resources management along Pune engineering team (resources dedicated to Brazil projects).
  6. Benchmarking and Best Practices sharing/leverage on NPI and localization projects. Change and leader agent.
  7. EBS driven and excellence focus on Pro-Launch and NPI sub-elements.
  8. Monthly engineering and NPI reports to drive and support action plans.
  9. Interface with major codes and standards entities driving future Specs, quality, and innovation for Switchgear business.
  10. Support along Sales and production ramp-up after NPI execution.
  11. Develops and manages action plans, coordinates and directs the engineering work aligned with the pipeline projects. This includes work assignments, staffing management, scheduling, and review. Develops or evaluates plans/criteria or special analysis required in support of the engineering effort. Develops new or improve techniques and procedures for application in unique engineering. Coordinates the design of assigned systems projects with personnel and client management. Maintains engineering records, lists, and reports as required to ensure compliance with the client's schedule, adherence to the budget, adherence to procurement specifications, or to ensure engineering problems are monitored and resolved.
  12. Responsible to support plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining cost-out initiatives across the organization, including, but not limited to, supplier base development and validation in conjunction with SCM leadership.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory) - preference for Electric/Electronic Engineer graduation.
  • Consistent experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Project Management.
  • Advanced English level.
  • SAP knowledge is a plus.
  • Availability to travel 30% of the time.
