As a Category Specialist for IT you will support regional / global sourcing initiatives either under the leadership of a regional / global category manager or independently if under a defined threshold. Purchase materials according to required technical specifications, price, delivery schedule and terms. Ensure purchasing activities align with corporate purchasing policies and procedures. Your responsibilities Supports the development and implementation of regional / global sourcing strategies in close alignment with the regional / global for IT category. Negotiates agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews pricelists, terms and conditions. Runs benchmark studies for the category team and for specific sourcing initiatives. Creates local contract amendments to frame agreements on behalf of a country and updates / maintains frame contracts. Supports regional / global sourcing initiatives within a defined set of categories, working closely with key stakeholders to implement regional category strategies. On-boards new suppliers in close collaboration with the respective local buyer and runs regular supplier evaluations and provides supplier reports to Businesses and Category Managers. Runs regional sourcing initiatives under a defined threshold. Fosters communication internally, externally, and between different Divisions, Business Units and Functions and supports the implementation of PL activities and initiatives in the Region / Country through this clear communication. Initiates purchase orders (PO) in the system, according to the Purchase Requisitions and in alignment with standard procedures, and confirms delivery with suppliers, monitors and tracks supplier performance to purchase order requirements. Your background Bachelor's Degree in Administration, Engineering, Economy and previous experience in this field. Knowledge of indirect procurement. Previous experience dealing with IT contract and supplier management. Advanced knowledge in Excel and Power BI is requirable. Knowledge of Strategic Sourcing is desirable. Knowledge of SAP and / or SAP Ariba is an advantage. Previous experience with internal clients is desirable. Fluent English is needed. #J-18808-Ljbffr
