About the RoleLocation: Brazil (São Paulo or surrounding regions preferred)Language Skills: Portuguese, English (fluent)Start Date: Ideally Q3/4 2025We seek a seasoned, strategic, and hands-on COO to lead our go-to-market strategy for mineral-based carbon removal products across agriculture and mining sectors . You will oversee our entire value chain, from mineral inputs and field operations to our science engine and technology roadmap. This senior role combines bold strategy with operational precision to scale our impact.Your role involves refining product-market fit , identifying scalable customer use cases , and leading the integration of deployment, scientific standards, and operational scaling. You will collaborate closely with our Chief Impact Officer and Head of Operations on regional management and logistics, and with our VP of Science to align field strategy with scientific standards and climate goals. You will work closely with senior leaders and lead a team to ensure operational excellence and scientific integrity, fostering trust with farming partners and scaling our impact. Design and execute scalable ERW deployment operations in Brazil. Translate climate goals into operational strategies. Improve operations through KPIs and data-driven performance. Agricultural & Supply Chain LeadershipDrive go-to-market strategies, building trust with stakeholders. Develop partnerships with suppliers, logistics, and regional stakeholders. Oversee sourcing, logistics, and deployment of rock powder. Ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Science-Driven Operations & Technology AlignmentCollaborate with science and tech teams to integrate R&D and data flows. Ensure product efficacy and credibility in real-world deployment. Support legal efforts for carbon reporting and impact. Team & Culture BuildingBuild an entrepreneurial, accountable leadership culture. Mentor and grow operations teams in Brazil and globally. Promote a culture of collaboration and impact. Empower regional managers and technical leads. Ideal Candidate ProfileCore Skills & Experience 10+ years in senior operations, supply chain, or agribusiness, especially in Brazil or high-growth/startup contexts. Experience scaling from early-stage to market success, ideally as a founder, GM, or CEO. Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams and scalable systems. Fluent in Portuguese and English. Key Qualities Visionary yet pragmatic, balancing strategy and urgency. Confident, emotionally intelligent leadership. Comfort with complexity, ambiguity, and rapid growth. Hands-on, humble, willing to get involved physically when needed. Passion for sustainability and climate innovation. Bonus Points Experience in impact sectors like climate or regenerative agriculture. Deep network in Brazilian agriculture, logistics, or mining. Experience building strategic partnerships in Brazil.
