Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Test Designer to join our team. As a key member of our software development group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated tests and qualification tools. As a Senior Software Test Designer, you will lead the development of automated tests and qualification tools, design and implement smart testing strategies, optimize processes, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement. You will mentor junior engineers and act as a sparring partner for customers, helping to raise the bar for quality and innovation. Responsibilities Oversee the entire testing architecture / strategies, process, from planning to execution. Develop automated test capabilities, select tools, and define processes for efficient and effective testing. Write software (C++, C, Python) for objective, reproducible, and maintainable automated tests and development of tools for qualification and integration. Explore different solution approaches to achieve the best result. Design, implement, and optimize chosen solutions. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in an international, multidisciplinary, and Agile environment. Review code and mentor junior engineers. Share expertise to elevate the team, quality, and processes. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or similar. At least 7 years of experience in software development with Python and C / C++ in the high‑tech domain. Capable of defining and overseeing the complete test architecture and strategy, ensuring consistency and quality from planning to execution. Background in software development / automation and experience with Object‑Oriented programming and develop test frameworks for complex embedded systems. Preferably experience with end‑to‑end test automation, continuous integration, and setting up and maintaining ROBOT test framework. Proven experience with various testing techniques, solid knowledge of higher‑level testing (system integration, component testing), and familiar with methods such as BDD, keyword‑driven testing, data‑driven testing, model‑based testing, and property‑based testing. Team player, solution‑oriented, and proactive. Motivation to continuously improve yourself and develop new skills. Good command of English, and preferably Dutch language.
