About the Role We are seeking an accomplished Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead our artificial intelligence initiatives. This is a pivotal role where you will have the opportunity to shape the future of data science and machine learning within our organization. You will be responsible for identifying high-impact opportunities, designing, building, and deploying machine learning models that drive business growth and enhance user experience across our platform. We are looking for a highly skilled practitioner who is passionate about translating business challenges into data-driven solutions. You will build, code, deploy, measure, and continuously improve your work. Identify & Prioritize: Collaborate with product, engineering, data analytics, and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize impactful ML opportunities aligning with our strategic objectives. Design & Build: Lead end-to-end development of machine learning models from data collection and feature engineering to algorithm selection, training, tuning, and validation. Deploy & Integrate: Develop production-grade code and systems to deploy, serve, and monitor ML models at scale, ensuring reliability and performance. Measure & Iterate: Define key performance metrics, establish robust monitoring frameworks, analyze model performance in production, and drive continuous improvement through iteration and experimentation. Champion & Evangelize: Clearly communicate complex ML concepts, model behaviors, and results to technical and non-technical audiences. Lead & Mentor: Establish ML development best practices, coding standards, and documentation. As the function grows, guide and mentor other ML engineers. First Year Plan In the first month: Learne about our company through onboarding meetings. Deep-dive into our platform, data architecture, and recommendation systems. Align with product and engineering teams on business goals and ML impact areas. Begin shaping a roadmap for high-impact ML opportunities. Within three months: Deploy your first machine learning model into production with robust monitoring and feedback loops. Collaborate with product and engineering to define success metrics and integration strategies. What We're Looking For Requirements: A minimum of eight years of professional experience in software development or data science, with at least five years focused on building and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Demonstrable track record of shipping multiple machine learning models resulting in measurable business growth. Expertise in Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, XGBoost, and SQL. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps principles. Strong ability to understand business needs and translate them into well-defined ML problems. Bonus Points: Experience building ML capabilities from scratch. Familiarity with golang, express, Postgres, Snowflake, DBT, Tableau, and other related technologies. Benefits Flexible paid time off.
