- Experience in high direct management in last mile operations field.
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques.
- Experience with the full staffing life cycle, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English, including excellent writing skills.
Job summary
Amazon Logistics (AMZL) is Amazon's "Last Mile" delivery service, responsible for delivering packages (and smiles) to households/businesses across the planet.
AMZL Brazil is at the exciting phase of building logistics network at rapid scale since 2021. We aim to be the first carrier choice for our customers through best delivery experience. To realize this, we are expanding our last mile network comprised by DSPs (Delivery Service Providers) and hiring passionate people to support on this business growth.
Currently we are looking for a Sr. DSP Leader for Amazon Logistics Brazil who will be responsible for meeting last mile goals relating to our Third Party Logistics partners. These partners are part of the DSP 2.0 program that we have recently launched in Brazil.
To deliver on these goals you will ensure that demand planning, quality, financial performance, compliance and productivity metrics are met by our DSP's. You will work closely with key internal stakeholders and will act as a point of escalation for DSP-related issues. As AMZL continues to scale, you will be responsible for scaling the Brazil DSP network as well as introducing and managing new delivery models.
Responsibilities include managing and leading areas that combine the DSP program in Brazil, coaching and mentoring the team to ensure performance objectives are met, building positive employee relations and leadership bench strength within the organization.
Key job responsibilities
- Ensure the route capacity to fulfill customer demand whilst continuing to meet defined performance and quality targets are met
- Analyzing and monitoring operational and financial performance of the DSPs
- Developing the DSP landscape for new delivery stations and successfully implementing new DSP models and initiatives
- Establishing a high DSP compliance level as well as fair working conditions for DSPs and Delivery Associates
- Implementing continuous improvement projects
- Engaging with stakeholders and act as a point of escalation for DSP-related issues
- Growing the DSP management team
- Takes proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments, shifts and among the network.
- Works closely with support staff (HR, Finance, LP, Safety, IT and other delivery station management).

- Degree in Engineering, Operations or related field
- Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
- Experience negotiating and contracting with 3rd party vendors.
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations.
- Experience on leading with continuous improvement and compliance policies.
- Ability to manage diversity of culture in organizations as well as matrix structure of organization.
- Ability to be a hands-on leader that can perform day to day operational and tactical challenges, as well support the org with strategical decisions that could drive operational efficiency for the long-term.
