Senior LATAM Government Relations & Public Policy Advisor Join Bloomberg as a Senior Government Relations & Public Policy Advisor in São Paulo, Brazil. You will shape regulatory engagement across key LATAM markets – Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and Chile – and support our global policy agenda. What You’ll Do Lead Bloomberg’s engagement with government officials, public institutions, and industry groups in LATAM, focusing on regulatory engagement and building alliances to advance policy goals. Monitor political and regulatory developments in Brazil and the wider LATAM region to inform internal stakeholders and shape Bloomberg’s positioning. Collaborate with global regulatory experts to navigate the capital‑markets regulatory environment across LATAM. Convene and support high‑level events, briefings, and thought‑leadership opportunities that bring together policymakers, regulators, and financial‑market leaders. Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing insights on the evolving political and policy environment. Collaborate across Bloomberg – Legal, Compliance, Product, Risk, and Sales – to ensure strategic alignment. What You Bring 5–7 years of experience in government relations, public affairs, or public policy, preferably in a multinational setting, industry association, consultancy, or government/regulatory agency. Strong network and deep understanding of the political and institutional landscape in LATAM markets, including key national and international actors. Deep knowledge of financial‑market regulatory policy and key workstreams of finance ministries, central banks, and securities regulators in market structure, ESG, trading, risk management, data, and digital finance issues. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas and build strong relationships across sectors. A passion for public policy, finance, and technology – and the ability to connect the dots between them. Fluent in Portuguese, English, and Spanish.
