Grants & Contracts Analyst (Infectious Diseases) The Division of Infectious Disease seeks a Grants & Contracts Analyst to provide professional-level management of sponsored funds, overseeing pre‑award and post‑award activities such as proposal preparation, budget development, billing, reporting, compliance, and closeout. The role will work independently and collaborate with faculty and the Office of Research Administration. Responsibilities Partner with faculty, budgetary staff, and the Office of Research Administration to plan and develop application submissions to federal agencies, private foundations, and commercial companies. Use institutional policies for the pre‑award grant process and sponsor guidelines. Review sponsored project proposals for accuracy, content, and adherence to guidelines before forwarding to Grants & Contracts Manager and ORA for signature. Provide instruction and assistance related to grant application procedures. Serve as liaison between research units, central offices, and funding agencies. Review budgets and justification for appropriateness and completeness; ensure indirect costs are applied. Ensure compliance with sponsor guidelines, internal protocols, conflict of interest policies, and other regulatory requirements. Manage grant submissions to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Maintain updates and communications related to current grants and contracts, including audits and reporting. Assist with grant closeouts and subcontract set‑ups as needed. Conduct complex award management activities and oversee other employees where appropriate. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Two years of administrative/budgeting experience. Additional education may substitute for required experience or additional related experience may substitute for required education beyond a high‑school diploma, as permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
