We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused Java Developer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining robust software solutions that align with business needs. You will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality results and contribute significantly to the success of our projects.

Employment for this position will be established and managed by Neoris in Brazil, in compliance with Brazilian labor laws. While you will be working on EPAM projects, your employment contract and related matters will be directly handled by Neoris.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver new features based on business requirements using the EIS platform
• Provide maintenance and support for production systems to ensure reliability and optimal performance
• Collaborate with business analysts and clients to gather and refine requirements that align with business goals
• Develop and execute automated tests to ensure the functionality and quality of delivered features
• Actively engage in Scrum processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, and retrospectives
• Adhere to established development standards and best practices to produce high-quality code
• Support the onboarding of new team members and contribute to internal knowledge-sharing platforms
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure project success

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a Java Developer
• Strong understanding of Java Core (15 or above)
• Hands-on experience with Spring Core, Spring Boot, and unit testing frameworks for building reliable applications
• Familiarity with REST APIs and a deep understanding of the HTTP protocol
• Knowledge of design patterns such as Facade, Command, and CQS for creating reusable and efficient code structures
• Experience working with SQL and relational databases for effective data management
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies for managing software development projects
• Proficient English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a B2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Experience with technologies such as NoSQL databases, Docker Compose, rxJava 2, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Grafana, ELK, or similar tools
• Understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture, as well as experience with messaging solutions like Kafka
• Fluency in Brazilian Portuguese to enhance communication in multilingual settings
