Technical Backend Specialist

Backend Developer As a backend engineer, you will collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to understand requirements for ML/LLM features. You will design, implement, maintain, improve, and document backend systems using Python and FastAPI for ML/LLM features. You will manage and optimize databases including Postgres, MongoDB, and Milvus for application storage. You will also improve observability and reliability for distributed and asynchronous workloads through structured logging, metrics, retry/backoff strategies, and traces. You will help maintain and orchestrate containerized development workflows using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes, and conduct CI checks to ensure high code quality and reliability. In addition, you will integrate and optimize calls to LLM APIs using the OpenAI Agents SDK. You will mentor other engineers and drive architectural decisions to raise the bar for testing (unit + integration). Key skills include experience with Python, FastAPI, database management, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and software engineering principles.
