Agricultural Analyst Experience Level : 5-10 years (Mid-Senior Level) Position Overview They are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Agricultural Analyst to act as a strategic consultant and liaison between their clients and vendors. This role is critical in understanding client requirements in agricultural trading and ensuring seamless communication with vendors to optimize operations. Key Responsibilities Consulting & Business Analysis Act as the middleman between clients and vendors, translating business needs into technical requirements . Understand and analyze agricultural trading operations, including pricing components, inventory tracking, logistical movements, and risk management. Work closely with traders, front office, middle office, and back office teams to understand their daily operations and trading workflows. Provide advisory services regarding ETRM / CTRM platforms, ensuring alignment with client needs. Vendor & Client Coordination Conduct detailed conversations with vendors to ensure they understand the client’s specific operational requirements . Work collaboratively with vendors as they lead platform development and configuration. Ensure the vendor’s solutions align with industry-specific agriculture trading practices, including soybeans, biodiesel, and renewables. Project & System Implementation Support Gather and document client trading workflows, pricing structures, and inventory tracking methods . Assist in configuring trading systems to meet client needs, working alongside vendor teams. Monitor and ensure smooth implementation of trading solutions within client operations. Required Skills & Qualifications 5-10 years of experience in agriculture trading, risk management, logistics, or commodity movement . Strong understanding of trading processes, pricing components, inventory tracking, and market exposure calculations. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable vendor requirements. Detail-oriented and highly organized, with exceptional note-taking and documentation skills . Ability to gather, process, and present information effectively to stakeholders. Proven ability to work cross-functionally with different teams (traders, front / middle / back office). Self-motivated and proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement. Preferred Qualifications Experience with agricultural ETRM / CTRM platforms. Familiarity with soybean, biodiesel, or renewable trading markets. Experience working in a consulting or advisory role within the commodities sector.
