Staff Data Engineer

This is a high-impact opportunity to own and shape the data infrastructure that drives analytics across the organization. You will design, implement, and maintain a modern, scalable data stack that supports decision-making for teams across the company. The role emphasizes building AI-ready data pipelines, creating a trusted semantic layer, and enabling self-service analytics. You'll collaborate with analysts, product managers, and data scientists to optimize workflows, streamline governance, and ensure data reliability. This position requires a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. • Design, document, and optimize dbt models to establish a trusted semantic layer that drives key business metrics
• Administer and enhance the modern data stack (Snowflake, dbt, Sigma, Stitch, Fivetran), ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
• Partner with analytics and product teams to deliver accurate, AI-ready data for decision-making and product features
• Improve pipeline efficiency and governance: refactor SQL, streamline dbt runtimes, reduce costs, and implement RBAC and documentation standards
• Evaluate and shape the future of data orchestration and infrastructure, including front-end data applications like Streamlit
• Build automated workflows to simplify processes and support analytics and AI/ML initiatives

• 5-8 years of hands-on experience as a Data or Analytics Engineer in fast-paced, high-growth environments
• Advanced skills in SQL, dbt, and Python, with the ability to build robust models and automate workflows
• Experience with Snowflake administration, performance optimization, and cost management
• Familiarity with ETL tools (Stitch, Fivetran) and orchestration frameworks (dbt Cloud, Airflow)
• Knowledge of GCP and Terraform is a plus
• Demonstrated experience building and improving data systems, not just operating them
• Strong ownership mentality, curiosity, and excitement for shaping a data platform that supports analytics and AI/ML initiatives
• Americas-based and comfortable working remotely
