This role offers an opportunity for a technical engineering manager passionate about open source software, Linux, containers, security, and developer experience to shape the future of Linux across various systems, from small devices to desktops. The role requires a high level of technical expertise and management skills.
Our MissionWe aim to enable everyone to build robust solutions in fields such as IoT, automotive, and aviation using our next-generation secure embedded Linux OS. We develop reliable device recovery mechanisms to help manufacturers simplify and standardize field operations across diverse appliances.
Responsibilities- Build and lead a distributed team of engineers through hiring, coaching, mentoring, and career development.
- Contribute technically to support your team's goals, demonstrating sound engineering principles.
- Ensure timely delivery of technical solutions aligned with business needs.
- Manage expectations with engineering teams, senior management, and external stakeholders.
- Promote modern, agile software development practices and evangelize engineering excellence.
- Cultivate a healthy, collaborative engineering culture aligned with company values.
- Participate actively in leadership and collaborate across the organization.
- Work remotely with biannual travel for company events.
- Passionate about technology and collaboration with talented people.
- Curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable.
- Experienced in developing and mentoring software teams.
- Knowledgeable about software development and experienced in agile environments.
- Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent.
- Has experience with embedded software, Golang, C/C++, Shell scripting, and Linux (preferably Debian or Ubuntu).
