The Warranty Field Service Specialist - Solar plays an important role with this rapid growing company. This is a very dynamic and fast-track position reporting to the Field Service Supervisor and Manager. The position will be the key member of warranty service team responsible for MVS (Medium Voltage Station) power systems which include Transformer, switchgear/ RMU and power inverters. This position will also be the technical point of the contact person support commercial, industrial and utility-scale solar.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform as a lead on more complex field engineering assignmentsPerform pre-commissioning (with and without grid emulator) and commissioning of solar inverters , power transformers, Switchgears and protection relay achieving the milestones agreed with utility scale customersPerform and/or lead Preventive Maintenance and O&M activities as neededPerform a variety of engineering assignment involving technology applications involved in the installation, operation, testing and maintenance of central and string solar inverterPerform electrical and electronic troubleshooting and testing of Medium Voltage Stations and solar inverters and its components in the field or in the laboratory. Use of PQA (Power Quality Analysis System), Primary injection test set for substation assets, Thermography analysis, TTR Measuring Instrument, Micro-Ohmmeters and oscilloscope is requiredPerform and/or troubleshooting in your region assigned to investigate solar plant issues such as DC arrays grid faults, inverter design issues, and utility grid transientsProvide feedback to the engineering team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvementsLead upgrade projects (software and hardware) in the field and interact with customers to explain the technical scope of the projectWork with customer SCADA engineers to set-up systems communication and parametersCreate Field Service procedures if there is not available for trouble-shooting, and maintenanceParticipate on training material some customers as requested but the Training ManagerResearch alternative components that can be used in the fieldCoordinate with R&D engineering in China if required help during troubleshooting in MVS and invertersTake the lead in some projects such as upgrades or retrofit as well as commissioningIndependently performs a range of field service tasks involving communication with Factory Engineeringand Customer’s solar plant engineerCoordinate and work closely with other engineering, logistic, financial, and program management disciplines to maintain the solar plantsHelp on the repair activities in the Service center BrazilPrepare, deliver and submit field reports to customer and managementSupport development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of workOscillography analysis in protection relays.Assessment of failures in power transformers and RMU / Switchgear.Conduct site visits, experimental investigations and analyze engineering problems, propose solutions and alterative, and provide recommendations. Necessary development of reports on root cause.
Minimum Requirements:Previous experience in Field ServicePrevious experience in solar systems (Medium Voltage Station – Transformer, Relays)Must possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as requiredMust possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skillsMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to closely follow instruction and pre-established procedures/SOP to perform the ductions of the jobMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook)Electrical SafetyNR10, SEP and NR35 course
Education or Desired License and Certificates:Bachelor’s degree or Technical degree with equivalent experienceSolar industry experience is requiredMANDATORY: Advanced English or above

Work Location and Status:Metropolitan region of São Paulo (Osasco-SP)Office in Osasco, SPAvailability to national and international travels (70-80%)
