Overview

Our client, a prestigious New York-based law firm, is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This role supports the firm's litigation department by overseeing operational aspects, ensuring smooth case management, and maintaining compliance with legal procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage litigation calendars, deadlines, and court filings.
  • Organize and maintain case files, documents, and evidence in compliance with firm policies.
  • Assist in drafting and preparing legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Facilitate communication and coordination between attorneys, clients, and external parties.
  • Conduct legal research on case laws, statutes, and regulations relevant to ongoing litigation matters.
  • Monitor case timelines and ensure timely completion of legal tasks.
  • Assist in trial preparation and provide support during hearings and trials.
  • Implement and improve operational processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in litigation support.
Who we're looking for
  • Proven experience as a paralegal or similar role within a law firm in New York.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research, document management, and case management software.
  • Knowledge of litigation procedures, legal terminology, and court rules in New York.
  • Spanish and English Fluency.
  • U.S.-based law firm experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in insurance disputes or working in-house for insurance companies is preferred.
