About the Role: Senior Python Developer Responsibilities Develop and maintain high‑performance APIs using FastAPI. Design and implement scalable microservices architecture. Optimize applications for speed, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with product managers and front‑end developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Manage containerization using Docker and orchestrate deployments on Amazon EKS. Perform database design and optimization using PostgreSQL. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards. Troubleshoot, debug, and improve application performance. Prepare technical documentation for APIs and backend systems. Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth. Requirements 8‑10 years of professional experience in software development with Python. Strong expertise in Python frameworks, particularly FastAPI (experience with Flask or Django is acceptable). Proficiency in containerization tools (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Amazon EKS). Solid understanding of relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including query optimization. Experience with building RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Familiarity with cloud services like AWS (e.g., EC2, S3). Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and source control tools like Git. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of asynchronous programming in Python (e.g., AsyncIO). Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, JWT) for securing APIs. Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
