Our finance professionals play an essential role in maintaining a healthy balance sheet at AIG. They deliver significant finance support for the overall enterprise, optimizing operations, funding and capital structure to honor our commitments to our stakeholders. They inform the decisions of AIG executives and comply with regulatory requirements, maintaining financial discipline, transparency and controls, while providing timely and meaningful information.
About the role
What you need to know:
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the Finance team on all financial analysis and reporting, including month close production activities / KPI reporting,
- Support to prepare the USGAAP report
- Contact point for External/Internal Audits
- Prepare intercompany reports
- Support to Finance Center India and keep good interaction with Puerto Rico team and New York
- Support in any finance project or process improvement initiatives
- Analyze profit center profitability
- Prepare and perform executive presentations
What we're looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
- Proven controllership and FP&A experience within an insurance organization.
- Finance project or transformation experience.
- Technical accounting expertise with understanding and interpretation of accounting policies under US GAAP or IFRS
- Advanced Excel, and Access. SAS would be appreciated.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Advanced English Skills
- Prior work experience in a multinational organization with varied geographical location and matrix reporting structure preferred.
