The Role As a Mainframe CICS System Programmer you’ll solve complex problems, identify potential future issues, and operate at the forefront of new technologies alongside financial clients. The role involves: Managing systems data, providing day‑to‑day solutions, and ensuring security compliance. Prioritising tickets, supervising a queue of assignments, and collaborating with technicians. Offering modernization options, identifying business opportunities, and cultivating stakeholder relationships. Who You Are Growth‑oriented, customer‑focused, and inclusive. You possess proven expertise and a drive to develop professionally. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Experience in CICS system programming Experience in CICS transaction server and related ISV products Basic knowledge of z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM and third‑party products Proficient in installing/upgrading and supporting IBM & ISV related products, with migration technologies like P2V, V2V, P2P Performance tuning and workload balancing in CICS Familiarity with CICS monitoring tools (Omegamon for CICS, IBM CICS Performance Analyzer) Knowledge of CICS Web Services, MQ integration, and DB2 connectivity Experience with RACF security administration for CICS Advanced English for direct communication with global clients Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field Preferred Technical And Professional Experience Process‑driven management of technical operations and support Support for technical consultation and inquiries from other IT teams Develop, document and maintain procedures for system utilities (backup/restore, performance tuning, configuration) Being You Diversity is central to our culture.
