ResponsibilitiesThe Global Communications team at TikTok is responsible for all external communications related to the company. We're currently looking for a dynamic senior communications leader to join our fast-paced Global Communications team. As Head of Communications for Latin America, you will be responsible for providing ongoing counsel and partnership to the company's senior leaders across the region, while leading, inspiring and motivating a highly-engaged team.We're looking for a dynamic leader with strong experience working in the technology industry. At TikTok, our leaders are also doers and you have proven experience conceptualizing, planning, and executing projects that have meaningful business impact. You're able to effectively manage through complex decisions and challenges, using sound judgment and expertise to mitigate risks and ensure the best outcomes. You are familiar with the media, regulatory and policy, as well as competitive landscape across the region and, as such, are able to effectively develop strategies to manage issues and mitigate risk, while ensuring balance between consumer and creative campaigns and reactive response efforts. As a strategic leader, you will work closely with other teams across the Global Brand & Comms department, including Marketing and CSR, as well as with our cross-functional partners — Product, Legal and Public Policy —to create cohesive and compelling communication strategies.Ideal candidates are resilient, entrepreneurial-minded leaders who work well in an ever-evolving environment. You have strong media relationships. You collaborate with ease across teams and are able to weigh big picture objectives with immediate business needs. You're good at connecting the dots and you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment. And you lead with a compassionate, people-first mindset. This role reports to the Head of Global Corporate Communications.Responsibilities:
- Advance the team's business objectives and enhance and protect corporate reputation in support of building our brand.- Develop regional communication strategies that provide clear direction for the company's key initiatives.- Build strong creative consumer campaigns, in partnership with Marketing, that help grow brand affinity.- Create and lead strategies to effectively identify and mitigate early-stage crises while also effectively managing other potential risks to the company.- Identify strategic priorities across the region aligned with cross-functional partners and mapped to overall business objectives.- Work closely with teams, such as Public Policy and CSR, to develop and implement strategic communications plans that amplify how TikTok is enabling progress for businesses and communities.- Lead and develop a high-performing team, while fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous development.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Extensive communications experience and a deep knowledge of consumer, business, and trade/vertical media in the region.- Able to diplomatically handle change and exhibit sound judgment.- Demonstrated experience in influencing stakeholders, resolving complex problems and ensuring collaboration within teams and across cross-functional disciplines.- Proven ability to mentor and inspire high-performing teams across multiple geographies in region.- Excellent strategic, analytical, and verbal communication skills.- Previous experience working for a global company is strongly preferred.- Must be fluent in English & Portuguese.
