SR Specialist Accounting

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
Secures financial operations by monitoring and approving financial processing, reporting; ensure that accounting records and documentation comply with the requirements of the Group Finance Manual. This role is part of a diversity hiring initiative for People with Disabilities candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meets accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls.
- Verifies accuracy of data and data processing of accounting related information.
- Prepares monthly intercompany reconciliation.
- Supports accounting procedures, ensuring month and year-end balance correctly reflect the economic-financial reality of the company.
- Assists internal and external auditors.
- Maintains the ERP system and its interfaces with other applications.
- Supports creation of financial reports according to IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) and local GAAP.
- Provides training to workers in both orally and writing form on accounting systems, principles and practices.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Experienced in job and fully qualified/trained.
- Combined broad theoretical and practical knowledge including company policies and practices.
- Strong competence with various tools, procedures, etc.
