The GenAI Engineering Manager will be a key technical leader in bringing this strategy to life. About the Role: As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead 2 or 3 teams delivering GenAI features across Quorum’s platform. You’ll work cross-functionally with Product, Data, and Design teams to translate business goals into scalable, AI-first solutions. You’ll be responsible for leading execution and engineering quality across multiple areas of GenAI initiatives. Responsibilities Lead 2 or 3 teams delivering GenAI features across Quorum’s platform Collaborate with Product, Data, and Design to translate business goals into scalable, AI-first solutions Develop and oversee agentic AI systems powering multi-step Copilot workflows Design and maintain Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and hybrid search infrastructure Drive LLM-based personalization and summarization for legislative, regulatory, and media content Establish and maintain AI evaluation frameworks to track accuracy, latency, and user trust Build developer productivity tools to support rapid, reliable AI delivery Contribute to architecture discussions, while focusing on team leadership and repeatable delivery patterns What We’re Looking For 6+ years of software engineering experience, with 1–3+ years in technical leadership or management Proven technical project management and stakeholder management skills within an agile environment Experience shipping LLM-based and agentic AI systems in production (e.g., chatbots, RAG, semantic search, summarization, agentic workflows) Technical fluency in Python, AWS, and orchestration libraries such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or OpenAI/Bedrock APIs Familiarity with vector databases and hybrid search tools (e.g., Qdrant, OpenSearch, Pinecone) Experience leading teams through ambiguity, iteration, and fast feedback loops Strong people leadership—mentoring ICs, guiding system design, and improving engineering maturity A bias toward action and learning—shipping fast while investing in quality and infrastructure Why Quorum Lead a team building core GenAI features in a mission-driven company Work across multiple product surfaces—legislative tracking, insights, search, and digests Collaborate with senior engineers and data scientists on a high-caliber technical team Remote flexibility and clear AI growth roadmap About the Software Development Team We are a fast-growing team dedicated to improving our people, processes, and platform, structured into product-oriented squads We support many products but operate as one system with a single unified codebase We emphasize documentation, testing, scalable design, and defined software development processes We follow security best practices and regularly test and update processes to safeguard data and applications We curate high-quality datasets essential for mapping and tracking government and public affairs spaces We set rigorous quality standards with programmatic and manual verifications to maintain user trust We value teamwork and foster strong working relationships across the team; remote-first with flexible work options Compensation Structure This is a full-time CLT position Flexible Paid Time Off Standard Brazil holidays plus additional company-wide days off Free subscription to Calm Free subscription to LinkedIn Learning Invest in Yourself Days — one designated day per quarter for professional development Monthly Work from Home Stipend Virtual and in-person team events Mental Health stipend In-company English classes Inclusion & Diversity affinity groups 12 weeks of paid parental leave We comply with all requirements for US government federal contractors issued by the OFCCP, IFR, and the terms of our government contracts.
