St Paul’s School is seeking a talented and dedicated freelance Violin and Cello Teacher to deliver high-quality individual instrumental lessons to pupils across both the Junior and Senior Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant and diverse music department, supporting pupils in their musical development and performance opportunities.**Key Responsibilities**:- Provide individual violin and/or cello lessons to pupils from Junior and Senior School.- Prepare students for London College of Music (LCM) examinations.- Support and prepare students for school concerts, recitals, and other performances.- Arrange lesson schedules and collect payments directly from parents.- Maintain clear and professional communication with parents and school staff.- Follow all relevant school policies, including safeguarding and wellbeing protocols.- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.**Desirable Skills**:- Ability to rehearse and conduct an orchestra or small ensemble.- Communication skills in English.- Passion for music education and student development.**Qualifications and Experience**:- A degree or higher-level qualification in Music or in violin/cello performance.- Proven experience teaching pupils of diverse age ranges in a school setting.- Familiarity with music exam boards, particularly LCM.- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.**Additional Information**:- This is a freelance position; the teacher will be responsible for managing their own schedule and invoicing.- Lessons will take place on-site at St Paul’s School.- The teacher must comply with all school policies and procedures, including those related to child protection and wellbeing.
