Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA with DevOps Growth Path) Published on OCTOBER 28, 2025 Applications open until JANUARY 31, 2026 Workplace: Natal - RN Job type: Legal person Work model: Hybrid Also for PwD About the Role We are seeking a Senior Database Reliability Engineer (DBRE / DBA) with deep expertise in MariaDB/MySQL and a solid understanding of PostgreSQL. Your mission will be to ensure our databases are reliable, performant, and resilient — especially when it comes to replication troubleshooting and tackling complex performance challenges. In addition to being our database specialist, you’ll have the opportunity to grow into a DevOps role. If you don’t yet have strong DevOps experience, that’s perfectly fine — we’ll provide hands‑on training, mentoring, and support. Over time, you’ll contribute to infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and cloud operations alongside our DevOps engineers. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex database issues, including replication failures and performance bottlenecks. Optimize queries, indexes, and schema designs for reliability and scalability. Ensure robust backup, recovery, and security strategies are in place. Collaborate with developers to improve database usage patterns and performance. Manage and monitor databases in cloud environments (Azure, AWS). Gradually take on DevOps responsibilities, including: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible) CI/CD pipelines and automation Cloud resource provisioning and maintenance Requirements Senior-level expertise with MariaDB/MySQL (administration, performance tuning, replication). Experience troubleshooting replication, diagnosing query performance, and optimizing configurations. Solid understanding of database design, indexing, and scaling strategies. Hands‑on experience managing production environments with high reliability requirements. Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS. English level B1 or higher (comfortable collaborating in an international team). Nice to Have Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (operations, tuning, replication). Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible). Scripting ability (Bash, Python). Previous DevOps or SRE experience. What We Offer Become the go‑to database expert in our team.
