Project Purchasing Specialist - Part Family Management

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  1. Promote and support the establishment of a reliable and competitive local supply base.
  2. Active participation in definition of product-related supplier strategy.
  3. Manage procurement activities for platform and application projects - includes target cost setting.
  4. Responsible for achievement of quality, cost, and delivery targets.
  5. Prepare supplier selection - includes RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication, and participation in sourcing decisions.
  6. Interface with: Central Purchasing, material field related purchasing, quality, engineering department, and Business Unit.
  7. Ensure preventive quality planning (PQP) for project-specific new parts and coordination of their release.
  8. Promote and support RPP activities.
  9. Change management for procured parts.
  10. Supports series production and after-market when needed.
  11. Travel: Domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering).
  2. 5 years experience related to quality of purchasing parts in an automotive environment.
  3. 2+ years of commercial and technical project management experience.
  4. Advanced English Skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of Aluminum Casted parts .
  2. Experience in product costing.
  3. Experienced in managing SAP system.
  4. Analytical and structural approach.
  5. Work well independently, highly motivated, results-oriented.
  6. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  7. Ability to develop a network in a very complex company culture.
  8. Presentation Skills.
  9. SAP Knowledge.
  10. At least 5 years in automotive industry Quality Related.
