About the Role ">

We are seeking an experienced Senior Python Developer to join our engineering team in Brazil. As a Senior Python Developer, you will collaborate with peers to design and enhance APIs and data-driven applications, contribute to solutions that improve how food safety and quality are measured worldwide, and work on developing high-quality software features.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and refactor software features using Python and related technologies.
  • Design and implement efficient data processing pipelines using Python and SQL.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including data scientists, food scientists, product owners, and architects.
  • Implement effective testing methodologies to meet quality standards.
Required Qualifications ">
  • 5+ years' experience in application and API development, with strong expertise in Django/DRF or Flask.
  • Deep understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Redis and background workers (Celery/RQ).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to discuss previous projects and technologies applied.
  • Team-first mindset, ability to work well as a group, share experiences and knowledge, mentor peers, and improve processes.
  • College degree or equivalent experience in computer science, software development, engineering, information systems, math, food science, or other applicable field of study.
  • Must be bilingual in English and Portuguese.
Preferred Qualifications ">
  • Angular experience for frontend.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tooling.
  • Proficient in Azure DevOps for source code and build pipeline management.
  • Experience handling big datasets with packages such as Pandas, NumPy, PyArrow.
  • Base experience with Linux environment.
