Job Overview We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to provide technical support, network troubleshooting, and data center assistance at our site. The ideal candidate will have strong fundamentals in networking, server management, and IT infrastructure operations within an SLA-driven environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical support, including network and hardware troubleshooting. Work with network devices such as switches, routers, and wireless access points. Assign switch ports to VLANs and patch phone ports as needed. Troubleshoot Avaya VoIP phones and perform basic configurations. Diagnose and coordinate resolution for fiber link issues and switch chassis replacements. Perform regular checks of IDF rooms for cooling, UPS alarms, and PDU health. Support data center and network administrators during technical troubleshooting. Monitor systems using tools like SolarWinds, Control-M, and EMC Avamar/Data Domain. Manage and maintain servers, storage devices, and perform performance monitoring. Utilize ITSM tools (preferably ServiceNow) for incident and service management. Ensure compliance with SLA-based support requirements. Required Skills and Qualifications: Networking fundamentals (Switches, Routers, VLANs). Operating Systems: Windows Server, UNIX, Linux. Basic understanding of Active Directory, MS Exchange, and File/Print Servers. Familiarity with backup technologies (EMC Avamar preferred). Experience with monitoring tools (SolarWinds or similar).
