Software Engineer

We are hiring multiple Software Engineers to join the Microsoft 365 team. These are remote positions, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home Microsoft 365 is the fastest-growing cloud services business at Microsoft. We maintain high reliability and availability, strong privacy and compliance, and millisecond-level latency. Responsibilities Drive projects through to delivery, removing obstacles to ensure success. Contribute to the design of large-scale distributed software services and solutions. Write clean, well-tested code. Champion and improve team software engineering practices. Mentor junior engineers. Collaborate with related teams to achieve goals. Promote knowledge sharing and contribute to onboarding documentation. Participate in the on-call rotation to monitor service health and manage incidents. Qualifications Main Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent experience. At least 1 year of experience in software design and backend service development. 1+ year(s) of hands‑on experience in an object‑oriented language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, or equivalent experience with C. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering. Ability to communicate technical details clearly. Experience in DevOps for live services or application frameworks. Cloud services experience; Azure experience is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills and a structured approach to software design. Passion for building reliable, well‑tested services. Experience with Agile and iterative development processes.
