Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025. Job Description The Public Relations Manager is responsible for managing the logistics of NBCUniversal's Public Relations operations in Brazil and coordinating with the talent involved in its local productions. The Manager must allocate her time and resources between acquired programming (40%) and original productions (60%). The Manager should monitor trends and identify newsworthy opportunities to promote our shows and productions. When no PR agency is engaged, the Manager should serve as the point of contact for the press. The Manager needs to participate in virtual meetings with International Public Relations teams in Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, and the USA to share Public Relations strategies for all networks and Universal+. Additionally, the Manager must collaborate with the Ad Sales team to obtain quotes for talent participation in Ad Sales buys. This position will be supported by one local PR agency. Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive publicity strategies to maximize exposure for NBCUniversal brands, networks, and original productions in Brazil. Collaborate with the Programming team to identify show highlights, scheduling priorities, and promotional opportunities, fostering alignment and shared vision. Oversee the creation and approval of communications materials , including press releases, talking points, synopses, and agendas, in coordination with production houses, talent, executive producers, and the Head of Original Productions. Coordinate with the regional marketing team to execute brand-aligned activities such as events, unboxing productions, and content distribution. Evaluate and guide PR agency proposals , recommending media outlets, influencers, and strategic angles to enhance visibility. Secure brand approvals for all promotional materials and ensure alignment with NBCUniversal standards. Manage vendor relations , including quote requests, invoice processing, and payment follow-ups with Finance. Administer budgets, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Develop and execute talent publicity trips , including appearances to support new acquisitions and series launches. Plan and manage press initiatives such as junkets, SMTs, set visits, and virtual press conferences. Coordinate talent social media promotion , provide assets, and collaborate with the digital team on content strategy. Make sure talent posts on social media to support shows. Oversee talent participation in sales initiatives and promotional events, including contract development with Legal and Original Productions. Handle all talent logistics , including travel arrangements, per-diem payments, styling, and grooming services. Provide on-set support to ensure a positive experience for in-house and guest talent. Serve as liaison between Original Productions and PR , ensuring timely delivery of promotional assets and materials. Be the point of contact for all cast and crews, resolve their issues, and answer their questions. Present the Promotion Strategy Presentation to the cast and crew of our original productions. Follow up with production and agency teams for essential PR content such as photos, BTS footage, and show synopses. Coordinate talent requests with the Telemundo Talent team and manage all appearance logistics. Develop and distribute detailed agendas and minute‑by‑minute schedules for talent engagements. Manage unpaid influencer participation in original productions and digital campaigns. Collaborate with Research/Insights teams to identify relevant influencers and promotional strategies. Conduct background checks on all participating influencers. Facilitate influencer logistics , including travel, styling, and grooming. Request and track legal documentation , ensuring all contracts and releases are signed prior to engagement. Maintain ongoing communication with talent, publicists, managers, and agents , cultivating strong relationships to support participation in key initiatives. Act as primary company representative for all talent‑related requests and needs. Accompany and manage talent during industry events such as Upfronts, screenings, affiliate marketing events, and press conferences. Monitor local trends to identify timely opportunities for press coverage and influencer engagement. Coordinate talent involvement in photoshoots, video shoots, press appearances, and production meetings. Compile and analyze KPIs to demonstrate ROI from press coverage and earned media. Produce recap reports in PowerPoint format, including event summaries, media clippings, and campaign performance. Ensure PR agency maintains an "always‑on" strategy , securing consistent weekly press coverage. Provide the local agency with timely information and assets to support ongoing promotional efforts. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or advertising 6+ years' experience in public relations, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of traditional and latest public relations techniques Fluent in Portuguese and able to communicate in Spanish and English. Connected and up to date with current media trends. Deep understanding of the entertainment industry in Brazil, TV brands, shows and celebrities. Proficient in Mac and Windows environments, including experience in PowerPoint, Keynote, Photoshop, and Excel. Desired Characteristics Master's Degree or an MBA is a plus. Loves to watch TV, movies, series, and reality shows. Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and projects in a fast‑paced environment Capable of working under pressure in highly stressful environments Ideal candidate must be bright, hardworking, organized, and focused. A proactive individual with the ability to work independently. Motivated and passionate professional with strong organizational and planning skills who can multitask in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically between partners, agencies, clients, and internal NBCU cross‑functional teams. Must be a team player who can work in an open and collaborative environment. A let's do it, and problem solver attitude is a must Ability to work with confidential material. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
