Trade Marketing Analyst Emerging Brands – Brazil (Northeast focus) at Brown-Forman. This position plays a critical role in advancing the trade marketing agenda in Brazil, with a strategic emphasis on the Northeast region — a rapidly evolving market with significant untapped potential for whiskey and emerging spirits brands. The role spans the Emerging Brands portfolio, driving execution across both on- and off-premise channels, and tailoring brand strategies to the Northeast's unique dynamics. With rising consumer interest in premium and differentiated whiskey offerings, the region presents a compelling opportunity to build brand equity, drive trial, and accelerate growth. Collaboration is at the heart of this role, requiring close alignment with internal teams (marketing, sales, finance, supply chain) and external stakeholders (distributors, agencies, suppliers). The professional must lead through influence and foster partnerships that enable agile execution and local relevance. A high level of organization is essential for managing the A&P budget, ensuring compliance across initiatives, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously. Delivering trade marketing programs on time and in full across channels is key to unlocking the full potential of emerging brands in the Northeast.
What You Can Expect
- Be a champion of the Emerging Brands in Brazil.
- Support the trade marketing plan by working closely with a cross-functional team, delivering actionable insights, learnings, and locally relevant ideas that unlock growth in the Brazilian Northeast — a region of rising strategic importance for the whiskey category and a fertile ground for emerging brands. Focused on channel, customer, and consumer dynamics, this role plays a key part in adapting national strategies to regional opportunities, driving brand relevance, and accelerating market penetration as premium spirits gain momentum.
- Support the trade marketing plan, working closely with a multi-functional team by providing valuable insights, learnings, and ideas focused on the region (channel, customer, consumer).
- Be the key point of contact within the Trade Marketing team to support the sales team, working closely with the Regional Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Make sure PICOS are up to date using the latest market and consumer insights available.
- Advocate for the Emerging Brands with other areas bringing risks and opportunities to influence plans and PICOS.
- Monitor brands' performance by harvesting and analyzing data from market and consumer research tools (Brand Track, IWSR, Nielsen) to support decision-making and update the On- and Off-Premise Channel Dashboard monthly.
- Lead the implementation of the trade marketing plan in partnership with the sales team and distributor partners, ensuring all activities are executed on time and in full across all markets.
- Evaluate Tailormade opportunities within the channels and coordinate the implementation with agency partners and the sales team.
- Focus on developing our Emerging Brands portfolio across the Northeast region.
- Lead the operational agenda.
- Control the Trade Marketing A&P budget for all Emerging Brands, reporting monthly to the Trade Marketing Manager PUB.
- Lead the POS Materials management from planning, producing, logistics, and ensuring they are implemented following PICOS guidelines.
- Monitor competitors' activities within the Brazil region and propose initiatives to protect our brands.
- Support and monitor incentive campaigns with on- and off-premise stakeholders.
- Conduct on- and off-premise visits monthly to gather field insights.
- Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, learning, and high performance.
- Collaborate with:
Brand teams to ensure initiatives are compliant with brand guidelines and share best practices. - Sales teams and distributor partners to provide necessary tools and ensure trade marketing plans and tactics are suitable for field-based brand-building.
- Finance team to ensure compliance and proper processes (accruals, budget reporting, forecasting, etc.).
- External agencies to provide information through the briefing process for efficient solutions.
- Post-mortem reviews with clear learning agendas and actionable results.
- Complete all Brown-Forman trainings to increase professional capabilities.
