- For our department Claims Assessment & Control we are seeking to appoint a Claims Specialist commencing immediately on a permanent, full-time basis.
**You can look forward to**
- Review, analyze, and process reinsurance claims in accordance with contractual terms and company policies.
- Assess claim documentation, loss reports, and supporting evidence to determine validity and coverage.
- Liaise with cedents, brokers, and internal departments to gather information, clarify issues, and resolve disputes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the claims related systems.
- Prepare regular claims reports and summaries for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure claims handling complies with internal controls, regulatory standards, and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to enhance claims processes and contribute to system upgrades or automation initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry trends, legal developments, and emerging risks affecting reinsurance claims.
**You come equipped with**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, insurance, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in claims handling, preferably in a reinsurance or insurance environment.
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance principles, contracts (e.g., facultative, treaty), and claims processes.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in claims management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
