Security Engineer – Ledn Ledn is building a global, digital‑asset financial services platform. We are looking for a highly skilled Security Engineer to strengthen the security of our Bitcoin‑backed loan platform and protect the data and operations that power our services. Responsibilities Design and implement secure, phishing‑resistant authentication and identity flows across customer and internal applications. Lead secure design and code reviews for JavaScript/TypeScript services and enforce secure coding practices. Automate vulnerability detection (SAST, SCA, DAST) within CI/CD and conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new features. Design enclave‑based architectures using AWS Nitro Enclaves, integrate with KMS and secure APIs, and migrate critical operations into enclave environments. Harden AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS) with least‑privilege IAM and secure key management; improve Kubernetes security posture. Deploy and operate a SIEM framework, develop detection rules and incident playbooks, and support compliance initiatives (SOC 2, ISO 27001). Collaborate with product and engineering teams to improve usability, compliance, and security in authentication flows. Qualifications 10+ years of proven experience in Application Security focused on web and cloud‑native applications. Strong knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript/Golang/Python and OWASP Top 10 web vulnerabilities. Hands‑on experience with AWS security best practices, serverless architectures, and AWS Nitro Enclaves. Deep understanding of authentication/authorization standards (OAuth2, OIDC, WebAuthn, FIDO2) and MFA solutions (passkeys, hardware tokens). Practical experience with Cognito/ Auth0, secure session handling, and SIEM log correlation. Experience with Kubernetes security, secure code review, and software supply‑chain security. Strong communication skills and ability to influence engineering and product teams. Remote work experience and adaptability to a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment. Nice to Haves Bitcoin custody and key management practices. Infrastructure‑as‑Code security (Terraform, AWS CDK). Experience building user‑facing security features such as passwordless authentication or device trust. Culture Fit Values integrity, progress, and empathy.
