Primary Responsibilities Operate simple machinery or equipment in accordance with instructions. Carry out routine assembly tasks (sub-assembly). Perform routine manual tasks (preparing inputs and outputs for assembly, packing and warranty). Select parts for assembly or dispatching. Inspect and package chair functions. Transfer finished goods and spare parts to stock/dispatching area. Complete tasks safely and to agreed quality standards. Deliver a quality product to the next step in the process. Report details of completed work. Load and unload containers and trucks. Check material returned from customers. Scrap material approved by the finance team. Load and unload freight and container truck security as required. Entry Criteria External – prior factory work experience. Basic numeracy, communication, and literacy skills. Ability to acquire work duties during up to 3 months of training and familiarisation. Behavioural Expectations Readily accepts new tasks and directions. Undertakes minor problem solving within the remit of work duties. Identifies and draws attention to non-standard problems and issues. Works well with colleagues and demonstrates good team working skills. Maintains a good level of output and achieves performance targets. Exhibits a high standard of housekeeping. Uses time effectively and keeps good timekeeping. Seeks alternative work if stopped. Shows respect towards colleagues and management.
