On this journey, we also create learning and strengthen ourselves in diversity as a fundamental aspect that makes us stand out for our growth day after day.Team Overview:**About the job**:As the head of government affairs for 99, you will build, develop and lead a strong team of government relations and public policy experts focused on managing 99's relationships with key government and other stakeholders across local, state and federal levels in Brazil. You will define and lead our government affairs strategy across our growing product and services portfolio in Brazil - including mobility, delivery and payments - while covering a wide range of challenging policy issues that affect our ability to operate.Though you will lead government affairs for 99 and Brazil, you will also be a key part of the international DiDi government affairs and broader external affairs team which spans 15+ markets around the world, and covers government affairs, communications and sustainability. You will report directly to the head of international external affairs.**About the team**:99/DiDi’s International Government Affairs Team is responsible for collaborating closely with key policymakers, regulators and external stakeholders to build a policy environment that supports the needs of our partners and our business. As the world’s leading mobility and convenience platform, with upwards of 50 million trips and deliveries happening on our platform every day, DiDi helps more than 550 million people around the world get where they’re going, and the things that they need. That means providing services for millions of people around the world that are environmentally friendly and safe, while providing opportunities for millions in need of flexible earnings, with an emphasis on diversity and inclusion and the best possible earnings and benefits. The discussion on policy and regulation for urban mobility and convenience has never been more important. The international policy team will play a pivotal role in developing and driving a more informed and thoughtful discussion on relevant policies in this area.Role Responsibilities:**Responsibilities**:- Build, develop and lead a strong team of government affairs experts, defining and executing clear and focused plans for our mobility, delivery and payments businesses- Serve as a key member of the 99 leadership team in Brazil, serving as an advisor to local and global leadership, and helping to guide the direction of the company, including our product and business strategy- Establish and lead 99's most important relationships with government and other important external stakeholders, including key industry groups and associations- Define and manage our budgets as well as our agency and consultant support structure- Serve as a key public face for the company, potentially speaking at important events or with media on critical issuesRole Qualifications:**Preferred qualifications**:- 15+ years of government affairs experience, ideally with substantive roles within a government/political context as well as within a corporate/consultancy environment- Experience working with a global organization is ideal - a background working for U.S. or Chinese tech companies a big plus- Native (or near native) Brazilian Portuguese language skills, as well as excellent written and spoken English- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experienceEEO Statement:**You'll love working at DiDi because**- We create customer value - We strive to always create valuable experiences for our users in everything we do.
