Biology Expert – AI Tutor (Part‑Time, Remote) Our organization is partnering with a leading AI lab to recruit Biology subject‑matter experts (SMEs) to enhance the quality and accuracy of AI training data. This flexible, remote, part‑time role lets you guide AI model development, design domain‑relevant tasks, and create evaluation frameworks that ensure the highest standards of scientific rigor. Key Responsibilities Guide research teams to close knowledge gaps and improve AI model performance in Biology. Develop and maintain precise annotation standards and rubrics tailored to Biology tasks. Design challenging, domain‑relevant tasks and write accurate, well‑structured solutions to Biology problems. Evaluate Biology tasks and solutions, providing clear, constructive feedback. Collaborate with other SMEs to ensure consistency and accuracy across the training dataset. Support calibration calls and discussions with the AI research team 2–5 times per week. Qualifications / Skills Currently based in the U.S. (or remote base). M.S. or Ph.D. in Biology (or related field). Minimum 2+ years of practical experience in Biology at a reputable institution. Strong analytical, communication, and writing skills. Familiarity with AI concepts and workflows is a plus. Preferred Expertise (Sub‑Domain) Molecular Biology Gene Technology Synthetic Biology Microbiology Work Location Remote – fully asynchronous, flexible schedule. Compensation Range: $60–$90 per hour (part‑time, independent contractor). Additional Details Ideal commitment: ~20–40 hours per week.
