Software Engineer, iOS Core Product - Recife, Brazil at Speechify

Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to help grow our iOS app and support an expanding user base. Speechify’s products turn reading into audio across iOS, Android, Mac, Chrome, and Web. We operate in a 100% distributed environment with no office.

Overview

With the growth of our iOS app (a top 20 productivity app) and recognition as an Apple Design Award recipient, we seek a Senior iOS Engineer who enjoys strategic thinking, fast-paced environments, and delivering delightful product experiences. We value leadership through strong technical skills, consistent results, and clear communication.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead key engineering and product decisions
  • Actively ship production code for the Speechify iOS app
  • Work within a dedicated product team
  • Participate in product discussions to shape the product roadmap
  • Maintain and enhance the existing complex app architecture
An Ideal Candidate Should Have
  • Experience on products that scaled to a large user base
  • Track record from inception to traction, with responsibility for the engineering product
  • Customer obsession and focus on delivering the best possible experience
  • Product thinking and ability to support internal teams and designers
  • Speed and focus to ship now or plan for later
  • Technical skills in Swift, SwiftUI
Technical Requirements
  • Swift programming language
  • SwiftUI experience
  • Multithreading programming
  • Experience working with CI/CD infrastructure
  • Experience with Fastlane
  • SOLID principles and writing well-structured classes
  • Git and understanding of different Git workflows
