Lead the product design for the Energy Storage Systems product, including effective development, specification and design of production lines, technical product support for control systems, technical improvement and optimization as well as production optimization and product launch. Development of product strategy together with sales and other stakeholders. Support in the preparation of price lists and ROI calculators. Technical sales support. Job description / core competencies:
Product strategy development and ownership
Lead the product design for the Energy Storage Systems product, including effective development, specification and design of production lines, technical product support for control systems, technical improvement and optimization as well as production optimization and product launch. Development of product strategy together with sales and other stakeholders. Support in the preparation of price lists and ROI calculators. Technical sales support. Support in the development of technical marketing material.
Working closely with the Head of Engineering.
Effectively collaborate and communicate with sales, customer service, engineering, production, procurement, customers, users, marketing, logistics and other stakeholders to realise a viable product.
Understand the drivers of the product, saleability, market, etc. Support in the creation of price lists and ROI calculators. Technical sales support. Assist in the development of technical marketing materials.
Overseeing or performing the creation of technical data sheets and user manuals. Preparation of product service manuals. Production documentation including receiving packs, build packs and bills of materials.
Understand certification requirements and develop a strategy if required. Identify and implement reliability and usability improvements.
Managing other technical resources related to the product.
Engineering Role and Responsibilities:
Lead product design for the energy storage systems product line and provide technical support for control systems.
Detail design of products and/or product components. Collaborate with other engineers in the company on the mechanical design aspects.
Design, evaluate and test prototypes in support of the company’s research and development programme.
Assist in testing and documenting products and components in the development phase.
Creating component specifications and validating them with the creator.
3D CAD modelling, facilitation of design meetings.
Documenting all drawings, reviews, and meetings.
Creating or managing the delivery of fabrication drawings and blueprints.
Project planning and writing progress reports.
Assisting others, including fabrication or production personnel, in the execution of designs.
Monitoring product data, evaluating and reporting on trends.
Assist in solving complex technical problems, sometimes beyond the scope of general engineering.
Supporting and facilitating certification procedures where required

**Job Qualifications, Skills & Experience**:
BSc Eng. (Electrical or Electronic Engineering) with at least 5 years of professional experience or MSc Eng. and 2+ years of professional experience.
Other qualifications in/outside of engineering would be an advantage.
Strong knowledge of designing circuit schematics, knowledge, and experience in PCB development, including microcontrollers, is a plus.
Good knowledge of firmware development for a range of microcontrollers.
Solid knowledge of circuit simulation. Knowledge of testing and reporting in electrical/electronic matters.
Experience with CAN (Controller Area Network) is an advantage, but not required.
Strong aptitude for clear technical writing and communication.
Driver’s license and willingness to travel
