Air Transportation Manager, Transportation BR

You will be part of the team in charge of developing and designing Amazon's air cargo network in Brazil. This position plays a vital role in creating new air solutions based on shorter transit times, cost sustainability, and the best delivery speed for our customers. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to international stakeholders and unique insight into the e-commerce logistics industry.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with air carrier partners.
- Track and analyze carrier performance metrics, such as on-time delivery, capacity utilization, and shipment quality.
- Identify areas for improvement and work with carriers to develop action plans to address any issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast and plan capacity requirements based on volume projections, peak seasons, and business needs.
- Ensure adequate capacity is available to meet service level agreements.
- Continuously evaluate carrier performance, network routes, and service levels to identify optimization opportunities.
- Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to carrier operations, such as service disruptions, capacity constraints, regulatory changes, or safety issues.
- Develop contingency plans and work closely with carriers to minimize any potential impact.
- Bachelor's degree;
- Program or project management experience;
- Experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams;
- Experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics;
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps);
- Experience with Air Operations and Logistics;
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements;
- Advanced English.
- Experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership;
- Experience driving process improvements;
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization;
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules;
- Experience with SQL.
