Energy Management Systems (EMS) Specialist Role Job Overview The EMS Specialist plays a pivotal role in implementing, operating, and optimizing Energy Management Systems to support power generation and transmission networks. This position entails ensuring the reliable, efficient, and secure operation of the electrical system through real-time monitoring and control of generation units and transmission assets. Key Responsibilities Platform Implementation: Implement, configure, and maintain EMS platforms for seamless monitoring and control of generation units and transmission assets. Support Services: Offer technical support and training to operational and engineering teams on EMS functionalities, including generation control, frequency, and voltage regulation. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on EMS software to ensure smooth operations in both generation and transmission environments. Customization and Integration: Collaborate with the EMS development team to validate EMS data models and check if customizations/applications adhere to technical specifications. Operational Support: Provide hands-on support to project teams by assisting with troubleshooting, application data modeling, and implementing effective solutions.
