We have an amazing opportunity for a Value Added Services (VAS) Manager to be based in Umhlanga. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?


The successful incumbent will be responsible for the overall performance and profitability of the Value-Added Services (VAS) products through all sales channels. They will drive the growth of the product through developing internal marketing strategies combined with business development initiatives in order to increase market growth/share and contribution to overall Hollywood revenue. Maintain and grow relationships with the relevant external parties comprising Flash, Blue Label, OTT and retailers such as Spar, PnP, Boxer, etc.

  1. A degree / diploma in Business Management/ Marketing.

What You’ll Do For The Brand:
  1. Responsible for product and brand growth.
  2. Manage and integrate the products to reach brand targets. Regularly meet with retail and online operations to review brand performance, advise and partner with them on strategies to maximize growth.
  3. Regularly meet, grow and maintain relationships with distributors and identify product enhancements.
  4. Ensure that brand growth strategies and initiatives are timeously implemented by the retail and online/digital marketing teams.
  5. Uncover ways to maximize the sales of vouchers in the online and retail space.
  6. Understand the strategy, vision and roadmap for all internal Brands/products and ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
  7. In conjunction with online, retail and marketing develop branding materials that suit the operational platform, target audience and the brand strategies.
  8. Manage regional, area and branch sales targets for all three portfolios with a view to achieving agreed product contribution targets.
  9. Work closely with the mobile teams to promote TUV on the ground during their activations. Ensure all finds are banked timeously.
  10. Ownership of product performances and profitability (analyze which marketing avenues need to be improved based on analytics and user engagement/experience with the brand).
  11. Regular interaction and communication with regional channels to ensure regional sustainability and growth.
  12. Evaluate consumer understanding and insights/feedback.
  13. Constantly work to improve the customer experience with the brands and possible enhancements where required.
  14. Conduct market research on competitor products or any other entry to market in line with the growth strategy.
  15. Work with the technical experts to ensure that the product integrates online on viable applications and that the product uptake on these platforms is maximized.
  16. Ensure distributors settle Hollywoodbets timeously on all voucher sales.
  17. Review daily/weekly/monthly stats and obtain a good understanding of each distributor (ie. Channels, best performing denomination, average sales, etc).
  18. Work with the technical team to problem solve when technical issues arise.
  19. Engage with the business and Contact Centre teams advising them of downtime and resolution.
  20. Engage with audits to perform reconciliations and ensure all customers are credited for voucher purchases.
  21. Ensure customer satisfaction always by escalating customer issues and resolving in the shortest turnaround times.
  22. Display a strong ownership mentality with an enthusiastic “can do” attitude.
  23. Any other such duties that might be required to maximize sustainability and profitability.
  24. Identifying and upskilling key team members to assist with efficiently growing these respective portfolios.
  25. Manage a team that works on resolving customer queries and ensuring feedback is provided timeously.
