Team Overview:
We are looking for a committed and experienced accounting manager. This position is based in our Brazil 99 local Office and reports to 99 tech accounting senior manager. As accounting manager, this position will support full accounting functions of 99 tech and 99 food business as local accounting compliance, regular closing, regular reconciliation and multiple reviews, business/finance projects, etc. and collaborate with HQ accounting team to achieve the business success in the region.
Role Responsibilities:
- Local accounting compliance:
- Regular local compliance risks review and awareness, communication with local RCCD, corresponding teams and HQ to implement accounting solution to eliminate risks;
- To accomplish local statutory requirements such as ECD, IBGE and support ECF independently on time;
- To accomplish annual statutory auditing independently on time;
- Regular review local GAAP with business to make sure the proper deployment of 99 accounting practice.
- Support senior manager to arrange closing tasks properly and lead multiple BR accounting teams to complete regular accounting closing timely and accuracy;
- Complete reconciliations and BS review monthly, bring to the attention of local senior manager and international accounting leaders any abnormal transactions with investigate and resolve regularly;
- Fully Understanding business to support and implement accounting solutions;
- Review and fulfill group accounting and internal control requirements;
- Act as the bridge between Regional Accounting and Business Team, Segment Finance, Tax Team, and Global Accounting; maintain the relationship with work partners;
- Escalate to management for any other accounting issues/business operation problems for improvements;
Others
- Act as the project owner from Regional Accounting side in supporting business/finance projects, as assigned;
- Work with group accounting leaders to roll out new accounting principles and ensure the high quality of their implementation;
- Support international accounting leader to continuously standardize the accounting processes;
- Support international accounting leader to improve the accounting operation quality in the region;
- Other ad-hoc works as assigned;
Role Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred;
- 8+ years of full functions accounting experiences, especially general ledger accounting function, preferably with internet enterprise business background;
- Solid knowledge of US GAAP and Brazil CPC;
