Our Lead Sales Consultants coach customers through the ins-and-outs of pet parenthood and lead Sales Associates through the day-to-day of retail operations. They work closely with field leadership to ensure every customer has a fun, friendly, and informative shopping experience and that our employees feel like they matter at work.

On an average day, Lead Sales Consultants:

1. Actively approach and engage with our two-legged and four-legged customers.
2. Answer customer questions about specific products.
3. Use the PFE Whole Life Approach to provide tailored recommendations that help customers live their best possible lives with their pets.

1. Participate in and lead daily training and continuous educational programs to enhance your and your team’s product knowledge and sales skills.
2. Stay up-to-date about new products and the pet community and share what you know with your store.

1. Lead PFE Sales Associates through store open and close.
2. Operate the cash register in a friendly and efficient manner.
3. Lead the unloading of shipments, restocking, and placement of product while maintaining visual and display standards.
4. Clean and maintain the store by participating regularly in tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning pet messes as needed.
5. Maintain an awareness of loss prevention by supporting a culture of honesty and connecting the links between customer service and shrink.

1. A passion for pets and people.
2. Leadership experience required preferably in a retail setting. Pet retail experience is a plus.
3. Eagerness to learn and lots of ambition. We’re growing and looking for people who are excited to grow with us
4. Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; will require weekends, evenings, and holidays.
5. Must be able to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds while using the appropriate lifting techniques and following all safety rules.
6. Ability to climb and balance using a ladder and/or step stool.
7. Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, stretch and engage in repetitive motions throughout shift.

The salary for this position is expected to be $20.00 per hour. Pet Food Express determines starting salary based on many factors, including but not limited to, local market rate, the qualified pool of candidates, internal compensation practices, a candidate’s actual skills and experience, and budget constraints.
