Job Title: Cybersecurity Operations Specialist The ideal candidate will bring foundational experience in security operations with a demonstrated ability to investigate and respond to security events. A strong focus on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) is essential, including the ability to analyze data movement, enforce classification standards, and coordinate remediation efforts. Candidates should be comfortable working in dynamic environments, applying core SOC concepts while developing deeper expertise in protecting sensitive data. Experience in cybersecurity or information technology within a SOC or incident response role. Hands-on experience working with DLP technologies and processes. Familiarity with common data classification categories (e.g., PII, PCI, PHI) and their security and compliance implications. Experience using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems for monitoring, triage, and analysis. Exposure to endpoint protection solutions, including antivirus, EDR, or other detection and response technologies. Experience triaging security incidents in cloud-native and SaaS environments. Working knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and OSI Layers 1–4. Ability to analyze event logs and alerts, correlate them with DLP activity, and determine the appropriate remediation. Basic knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), Cyber Kill Chain, and MITRE ATT&CK framework. Fluent in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting incidents and working with stakeholders during investigations. Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and discretion when handling sensitive data. Highly organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple incidents or tasks with minimal supervision.
