Our Local Programs and Regulatory Compliance team is responsible for ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations in the countries where we operate.

About the role:

The Compliance Analyst II will support Crypto.com in ensuring the company's activities align with the Brazilian regulatory framework and assist with AML investigative cases. The role also involves ensuring adherence to SISBAJUD/CCS protocols and supporting law enforcement responses.

Responsibilities
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Identify non-compliance or partial compliance issues through GAP analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, enforce compliance, and advise management on necessary actions.
  • Communicate updates to regulations and provide training as needed.
  • Review policies and training to ensure regulatory compliance in Brazil.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of the regulatory framework.
    • Internal Controls
    • Manage internal compliance controls and conduct reviews.
    • Identify and manage regulatory risks and findings.
    • Work with management to implement suitable systems and controls.
      • Reporting
      • Respond to law enforcement requests and inquiries.
      • Prepare compliance audit data and liaise with departments for report submissions.
        • AML/CFT Compliance
        • Coordinate with the Compliance Team on customer due diligence and risk assessment.
        • Review customer accounts for ML/FT suspicion.
        • Investigate adverse media, PEP, and sanctions escalations.
        • Compile data for external reports and law enforcement requests.
        • Handle internal suspicious activity reports and file STRs to COAF.
        • Draft and implement AML/CFT procedures.
        • Maintain knowledge of AML/CFT regulations and best practices.
        Requirements
        • At least 3 years of experience in financial institutions or law firms handling AML and compliance, especially in virtual financial assets or payments services.
        • Understanding of AML regulations and payments legislation.
        • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance and determine business impact.
        • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
        • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
        • Experience with local regulators is a plus.
        • Knowledge of virtual assets and fintech products preferred.
        • Ability to work cross-functionally within a matrix environment.
