About this Role This is a position for an experienced professional to advise on best practices in capital markets technology, contribute to client-site implementations, and provide support and communication services. Jr: Will be involved in advising on Murex best practices in P&L processes, position management, accounting, hedge accounting, and financial reporting. Jr: Contributes to client-site MX.3 implementations during the requirements gathering, design, build, test, and deployment phases by participating in workshops, preparing documentation, configuring client requirements, and performing quality assurance tests. Jr: Provides client support including managing open issues and supporting upgrade activities. Jr: Communicates development needs to the Murex product development team. Jr: Provides internal and external training. Sr: Advises on Best Practices: Provides guidance on Murex best practices in P&L processes, accounting, hedge accounting, position management, and financial reporting. Sr: Client-Site Implementations: Leads all trading designers during an implementation or upgrade; gathers, designs, builds, tests, and deploys the system by participating in workshops, prepares documentation, configures client requirements, and performs quality assurance tests. Sr: Client Support: Manages open issues and supports upgrade activities. Sr: Communication: Handles the relationship with the product team in one area of expertise and assists in building the product roadmap for the region. Sr: Documentation and Training: Provides internal and external documentation and training. Qualifications and Skills Jr: Ideal candidate has 2-3 years' experience in capital markets technology. Should have a good understanding of accounting principles under IFRS or US GAAP. Knowledge of hedge accounting is a plus. Preferable experience includes supporting either trading, treasury or accounting at banks or other financial institutions or has experience with other fintech vendors. Strong academic background in accounting, engineering or a math-based discipline (math, operations research, statistics etc.). Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating system, SQL, and basic programming is a plus. Sr: The ideal candidate has more than 5 years of experience in capital markets technology. Proven client-facing experience in a support or project implementation role, preferably in trading or risk management solutions in financial institutions. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a master's in financial engineering, Applied Finance/Statistics/Mathematics, or Computational Finance. Systematic problem solver with critical thinking abilities. Strong presenter and effective communicator. Knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, SQL, and basic programming. Benefits and Challenges Good product knowledge/understanding in IRD, CRD, COM, EQD, FXD, FXMM. Good understanding of accounting principles, accounting rules, ledger, and account balances. Good working knowledge of Murex Accounting knowledge. Strong understanding of Back Office functions as well as processing. Strong functional and technical understanding on the settlement instructions. Good knowledge of the different post-trade interactions between the various actors of capital markets including service providers. Good understanding of OSP (open settlement protocol). Ongoing Development and Teamwork BS or higher degree in Finance, Mathematics or equivalent. Implementations and upgrades. Test management. Trade life cycle management. Market Data management. Knowledge in SQL (Oracle and/or Sybase) and Unix commands is a plus. Good understanding of Market Risk Management (including VaR, stress-tests, back-testing).
